All Roads Lead Home

To be released on DVD on January 13th, 2009!

This is a movie, not so much about life, but about the absence of life that comes with great tragedy. Yet nature has a way of providing direction. Pointing left or right. Posting signals that ultimately bring everyone back together. A journey that starts and ends at the same place. Yet must be traveled before healing can begin.

Why the connection for the Kansas City animal welfare community? The movie has a wonderful story line about the value and respect for human beings and animals. A twelve-year-old girl loses her mother, rebels against her father, and is sent to her grandfather’s working farm. There she finds that animals are destroyed if they are bred wrong or can’t turn a profit for the farm. Her work on the farm transforms the entire family…life and death take on new meaning through mysterious pet deaths, budding romance, hidden motivations and the human need for love and understanding. The movie was filmed in Kansas City, inspired by a true story, and won Best Feature Drama at the International Family Film Festival.

This film is a must see for every animal lover!  Join with us to see what the power of love can do.

No More Homeless Pets KC

Almost everyone has had a pet in their life that really touched their heart. Whether it was your first fuzzy puppy when you were a kid or a stray cat that you adopted and became its lifetime friend. It is that kind of overpowering love for animals that has brought countless shelters, rescue groups, individuals, and veterinarians together to form No More Homeless Pets Kansas City.

It is our goal to end pet-over population through cooperative spay and neuter, humane education, and adoption programs. Please join us in this important community effort.
